Compared to most transfer students my GPA is pretty average. I have a 3.5 gpa at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. The school is known for very rigorous courses. I am at Business and Econ Dual Major. My gpa for business is 3.91. I am planning on transferring to either the business or econ programs at each of these schools:
NYU
USC
U Michigan
Vanderbilt
Boston University
Boston College
Northeastern
UVA
Cornell
Georgetown
What are the odds?
Apply for Econ programs at NYU, USC, UMichigan, Georgetown, UVA. Their business programs are too uber-competitive to be worth applying to.
Apply for Business at BU, BC, Northeastern – their business programs are much less competitive.
It’s hard to see this working for Cornell for any field of study on the basis of GPA and the school’s high competitiveness alone.
I don’t think you can get worthwhile information about odds from what you’ve posted. Even if there were merit in a process where people with unknown credentials weigh in with odds, you’ve not provided enough information for them to make any sort of informed guess. Information that might help if there is any value in this sort of guessing would include: current year you are in, reason for wanting to transfer, grades and courses that contributed to the current GPA, and if early in college, your high school credentials and any notable achievements.
