How difficult would it be to transfer into a villanova nyu or Fordham with below a 2.0 GPA in high school and average SATS if I earn 4.0 in college possibly a cc or a much lower university.

That depends… Will you be a junior transfer or sophomore transfer?

I believe that your chances are significantly better if you transfer as a junior. The more time you put between your application and your high school gpa, the better.

Just curious, how do you think that you’ll be able to get a 4.0 in cc or a “much lower university” if you were unable to reach a 2.0 in high school? Contrary to popular belief (especially on this site), cc is not easier than high school.

Joblue: It is completely possible to turn around in college, especially if one finds the college environment more engaging than their high school. Even though I have few posts here, I am in the midst of such a turn around myself at my community college.

There is no doubt that I could do that because my effort in high school was practically nonexistent. Just to clarify to transfer as a junior means transferring after two years of college and then entering the new college as a junior correct?

^Yes, a jr transfer applies as a soph and matriculates the following fall as an entering jr.

Yes, that’s considered transferring as a junior.

Sorry, cross-posted…
