Is it possible to transfer to Haas from Marshall after my sophomore year? I tried asking this on the UC Berkeley forum, but they told me that its basically not possible because they reserve almost all the spots for CCC people. I know Marshall is a great school, but then due to some financial problems, I was planning to transfer to UCB which is slightly cheaper…

All UCs give first priority to transfer applicants from California Community Colleges. If you goal is to attend Berkeley, your best course of action would be to attend a California Community College [University of California - Admissions](http://www.universityofcalifornia.edu/admissions/undergrad_adm/paths_to_adm/transfer.html)

If you want to attend Marshall, you could save money by attending a community college and transferring after two years. That would cut the cost of USC almost in half.
