Transfering Freshman Year

I applied to several colleges but Albright College was the only one who answered me back. I did not plan very well before applying so I don’t think I applied to the best colleges I could. I am now sure I want to go to Liberty University. I was wondering if I should transfer in the middle of my freshman year and try to get accepted for Spring Semester 2013 or finish my freshman year in Albright and transfer for Fall Semester 2013 as a sophomore. I graduated from high school with 24 credits, a 3.5 GPA and honors.
Any other options or information will be appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

Do you need financial aid/scholarships? Many are only offered to incoming freshmen, so it may be in your best interests to take a gap year and apply to the Fall 2013 semester as a freshman. Otherwise, I don’t think you can apply to transfer for Spring 2013, as you’d need to apply now (possibly earlier), and the colleges you’d apply to would only have your high school grades to evaluate you on. I think that in order to transfer, they need to be able to see how you perform in college-level courses.

No, I don’t need financial aid. It would be good to have that but it’s not necessary. Money is not a problem.

What does the college website say, do they accept transfers for the sp of fr year? Not all do, that’s why I ask.
