I have some awards and extracurriculars and have taken SAT and SAT 2s but not sure if they will help because most are done in high school. Also, I took the sat and sat 2 in my freshmen/sophomore year (never taken in highschool before) so I don’t think they will put too much emphasis on those scores.

I am pretty sure that I can maintain my GPA 4.0 again in this fall semester too.

I am guaranteed admission to UVA because I have fulfilled all the requirements but want to apply to other out of state schools for Computer Science. I know it is very difficult to transfer to an OOS from a community college but I am thinking of applying to:

Johns Hopkins
UC BERKELY
UCLA
Carneige Mellon
Georgetown
University of Pennsylvania
Columbia
University of Michigan
Cornell
Northwestern
MIT
Stanford

Can you help me on how much chance I have on getting accepted to these schools? And if there are other schools to recommend please do!

Thank you very much

oh and I am applying in the fall 2019 not this spring and will have 86 credits when I do

and one more thing I have a TOEFL SCORE of 110 which is required for international students

Can you afford OOS schools like UCLA/UCB where you will receive no financial aid and will be expected to pay $65K/year to attend? Since they only accept Junior level transfers with 60 semester/90 quarter units, your SAT score, HS accomplishments or HS GPA in their transfer admission decisions.

Your GPA is so far very competitive so if your finances make UCLA/UCB affordable, definitely worth your time to apply.

I would also look at USC and Harvey Mudd where you might get some better financial/merit aid as a transfer.

yes I don’t have any financial issues on paying the out of state tuition. For uva I have to pay out of state as well so I guess it doesn’t matter where I go

thank you for your reply

If money is not an issue, then apply until your heart’s content. Your stats make you competitive, and at that point it is just you selling yourself within essays and finding the right AdCom that will buy.

Since you mentioned the UC’s, take a look at University of San Francisco, private, good candidate for admission and offers some merit.
