Transfering to Ivy league from a state school possible?

I currently live in Connecticut and go to a state school. Through out high school I didn’t understand the value of a good education, but I have since realized it greatly. Would it be possible to transfer to either Yale or NYU from a state school? Lets say my GPA was around a 3.8-3.9 and I had good extra-curriculars. Have people transfered there from local state universitys or is it a no-hope? Thanks to all who help.

Possible, Just very unlikely

there is a huge difference between Yale and NYU…im sure NYU will take your compliment very gratefully

Of course there’s a chance. Is it likely? Nope

It shouldn’t be too difficult to transfer into NYU. Ivy League is a different story… very tough to transfer.

haha when i first read this title, i thought you were trying to do the opposite

Well, transferring from any top school, from a state school is hard. Ivy leagues and other elite schools tend to be pretty insanely hard.
