So usually they say the 2nd times the charm, but for me it’s a different story… the 4th time is the charm, or is going to be the charm. College has always been a challenge for me. I never was the “A” student in high school and college was no different. I messed up at my 1st college (University of Akron) and had to come home to my community college. I knew I wanted to get my BA so I wasn’t planning on staying at the community college for long. I did well at the community college, achieving a 3.5 my 1st semester there. I started looking at other colleges and feel in love with Alabama State University. Well, in my hurry to get away from my family as soon as I could, I applied to Central State University and was accepted. However, Central State was not my ideal school. Where I really wanted to be was at Alabama State University. I loved that school and everything that it had to offer! However I went a head and came to Central State, and grew to like it, and even found an AMAZING church home and friends, but it wasn’t ASU. My heart was somewhere else, and not only that but Central State needs alot of improvement. The structure of the campus is off and the school has a bad reputation. Professors are either getting fired or quiting and there is a lack of discipline at the school. I am going through the application process now for Alabama State, and have improved my GPA from a 1.95 to a 3.25 cum. I guess my question is, if this transfer will affect my financial aid or FASFA? thanx in advance!

You need to contact Alabama State to find out what your financial aid could be like there.
