Transferring after one semester?

Like many others, I just received my rejection letter today. :stuck_out_tongue: USC is my #1, and I fully intend on continuously and mercilessly bothering their adcoms until they take me/reapplying over and over until they file a restraining order against me/taking the transfer route!

I read on these boards that a person can transfer after a mere single semester at another university/CC, but how does that work? USC’s website says that they don’t accept applications for spring semester. Suppose I attended another university for fall semester, how could I apply/get into USC mid-year? I hope my question makes sense. :|

I have a question in your rejection letter did was there a part where they said they would talk to you about transferring at the end of june

Ah, no, there wasn’t. I believe that’s only for those with legacy? I could be wrong.

Im not a legacy though so its really weird

I’d call USC–the admissions counselor that works with your HS & ask about your options. My D attended CC for 1 semester & then applied to USC. She was admitted as a spring admit for her sophomore year, so she entered with 3 semesters of CC to her credit.
Folks who enter in Spring (Jan) are generally those who applied to be admitted to Fall (Aug), but for space and/or other reasons are admitted the following semester (Jan). You can clarify all of this with the counselor & also discuss which courses would transfer if you do get into USC. D did this so most of our coursework applies to her USC degree. She kept an active e-mail correspondence with the advisor assigned to HI because she wanted to transfer to USC.
