Transferring as a sophomore undergraduate

I am currently a freshmen at the University of Texas at Austin and am thinking of transferring to the Unviersity of Pittsburgh my sophomore year. Would this effect my chances of getting into medical school? I know that Pitt is still a respected school, but do medical schools look down on if you transfer as an undergraduate from a school like Texas to Pitt? Any input would be helpful!

Thanks!

No… why would they look down on you? Both are respectable schools. Where it might put you behind is in terms of long-term relationships w/ faculty, getting research positions, and clinical and volunteer experiences. Basically, you’ll be starting from the ground up on everything w/ a lot less time to spare.
