Okay so I have a problem and need to open up on this forum. So I went to a college for my first semester (August-december2016) and my primary parent who worked was laid off and had not worked until now (Jan 2017) and the other parent doesn’t work at all. I also don’t work but have been trying to find a job. So I had not paid anything and have total of $7000 to pay for that semester still.
Back in senior year I had applied to a university and got accepted for spring semester which I said yes to and now am gonna start there at the end of this month. However I need to send my college transcript in from the first semester – even though I have everything including FAFSA and classes done for this spring semester at the new school. I tried applying for loans but other than subsidizes and unsub loans from federal I can’t get anything else including pell grant and direct plus.
What should I do?? How can I get a loan quickly for $7000? I mean I can pay at most $2000 but for the rest… and I still will need a loan for the spring semester but I want to get rid of the first semester bill as there is a hold on my account.
Please help.
