Transferring CCC Credits to UCB

Hi CC! I want to transfer community college credits to UCB as a new admit. Do I get to pick which classes transfer? Can I choose to not transfer a class if it doesn’t help my GPA, or will all classes be transferred even if you don’t get credit?
If all classes are transferred, do they affect my UC GPA? Will Med Schools see it?

Thanks in advance!

Visit assist.org

There you can select your CCC and UCB to view the relevant articulation agreements which will show how your CC classes transfer. You must submit all CC transcripts and credit will be awarded for all classes that are UC transferable.

CC classes are not part of your UC GPA.

Med schools will require all transcripts so, yes, they will see all of your CC classes.

Transfer subject credit is listed at https://www.assist.org .

While transfer credit units to UC are limited (no more than 70 semester units of lower division transfer courses), all transfer courses can count for subject credit.

For general UC purposes, grades in passed transfer courses from non-UC schools do not count toward GPA calculated at UC. However, there may be a few cases where declaration of major by transfer students considers grades earned at prior colleges when those grades were in major prerequisites.

Medical schools will count all college courses and grades from all colleges for the purpose of applying to medical school and calculating overall and BCPM GPAs.
