i’ve read many posts on here about students transferring from community with 3.8 or higher gpa, but i’ve never come across posts about transferring from a major university. i’m currently a freshman at texas a&m university and i plan to try to transfer. what’s the lowest gpa i can have and still be under consideration?

c’mon mayne

It does not matter where one is transfering from. The expectations will be roughly the same. What will determine the odds of acceptance as a transfer is the size of the transfer class required. Some years, Michigan aims for a large class while other years it aims for a smaller class. Either way, a 3.8 GPA from a good university such as Texas A&M ought to do it.

Hey 123abc456 you may remember me. I’m tryin the same from Central Michigan after one year. @Alexandre do you think that one semester at a place like CMU with a 3.8+ could get me in? that’s what I’m looking at for this semester. I’m OOS btw
