Transferring from a "better" to a "worse" school.

I am currently in a nationally ranked University, but due to financial reasons, I want to transfer out.I did not receive as much financial aid as I hoped for, so I took a loan, but now decided that I do not want to work so hard just to pay off college debt. I am considering transferring to Cal State Fullerton because it has a great business program, and my goal is to pursue obtain a CPA license. I also think I would be much happier and enjoy myself much more at a public university, as my university is a small catholic university. However, I am not sure how transferring from a nationally ranked school to a cal state would affect my future employment or getting internships. Can anyone shed light as to how this transfer would affect my future? Thanks!

This is not a problem at all.

You are transferring to a more affordable institution that happens to have a great program for your major! That, my friend, is a win-win situation.

If you are quick with the paperwork, you could possibly be at Cal State Fullerton next semester, which ought to make it possible to get in line for at least some internships for next summer.
