<p>I have been accepted into Marymount University in Arlington,Virginia. I have visited the campus, met with professors, and I was impressed. But the week of the inauguration I visited American University. I knew this was where I wanted to go, but I thought back to why I didn’t apply in the first place. I did not have the grades or the test scores to get in so I devised a plan. If I was to be accepted into Marymount I would bust my butt to do well and after one semester transfer to American University. I know what you guys are say, " You haven’t even gone there yet, give it a chance…" Well I don’t doubt the school its self and what it has the potential to do for me, but American has a stronger Political Science program. More connections and internships for the fact that is in DC, and actual greek life. These were all the things that came across my mind when I was making this decision. I want to run for high office one day,and I feel that American can catapult me into what I want to do. I feel this is the right course of action, but this is supposed to be a question right? So my question here to today is, is this the right course of action, or should I stay at Marymount?</p>
<p>If your grades and test scores were not sufficient for freshman admission, then you will not be successful trying to transfer after one semester. <p>Thank you cltdad and I will keep that in mind,but I have been talking to the admissions counselor and for now I am told that “Competitive applicants have a 3.0 cumulative college GPA or higher, or strong high school work and test scores.” But I feel that even though I am lacking in one department, that I make up for it in others. So if you were me what would you do?</p>
