I applied for dual degree music and wcas. I got into music but not wcas.

Can i go to the school of music, do lessons and ensemble + 3 wcas courses then transfer out my sophomore year? or even just do this all four years, fulfill all the wcas requirements for my major, and transfer out my last semester or something?

I decided that I dont want to do music as my career after college but i want to keep playing.

You are admitted to Northwestern, which is a good thing. You can always do an interschool transfer after you’ve completed a quarter. You will need to meet with a WCAS advisor about the process. You can also petition again once you arrive on campus why you want to be in WCAS too.

yeah, i have a friend who switched out of the dual degree program for the start of winter quarter this year (freshman), i think you can switch before you even come also, but its really not a big deal to switch for winter quarter
