Transferring from Oxford College Emory for business major

You might look at this thread.

What does the student want to do that it must be highly ranked? And highly ranked will depend on the various “rankings” because they are very different.

And not necessarily what you seek in a program - that Emory, for example, clearly isn’t (forgetting Oxford). And if she got into Emory, she could have gotten into many a school that has this - but clearly you chose to avoid such wonderful b schools.

You want her to be happy - so please take that into account this time. In most cases, where you go for B School won’t matter - but that’s why I’m asking the ultimate outcome or career path. Other than maybe Investment Banking or consulting, where she attends will matter little to the ultimate end goal. But she will likely remember her college experience, good or bad, forever.

Good luck.

Ideas - Miami Ohio, Pitt, Syracuse or you can go big - Ohio State, Indiana (everyone’s top school safety) and really a host of others. Delaware could be a good pick.

For Emory smaller, how about U Miami, Elon (yes, it’s got a strong b school), SMU, TCU, Denver (if she likes hockey), Villanova.

In some ways, it depends on what she wants - for example, if she wanted supply chain, ASU, Michigan State, UTK and Penn State would be the top of the list.

I’d focus on happy - the job thing will take care of itself if she’s a hustler…
