Transferring from Pace Uni. to NYU/Barnard

I am a senior in highschool and I have recently decided to commit to Pace University <3 I am happy with my decision although my counselor advised me to attend Loyola Chicago. I really don’t care. I am in love with NYC <3

I want to major in English/Journalism and become a fashion magazine editor.

I was rejected from NYU early decision and waitlisted to Barnard regular decision.

MY STATS:
GPA 3.54
Class rank 130/482
ACT 23

EC:
Cheerleading
Tennis
Fashion Club President
Key Club
Volunteer
Paid job

Anywho, I was wondering how easy is to transfer from Pace to NYU or Barnard? Do they have any transfer programs? Does NYU/Barnard accept Pace credit?

Of course you can transfer from Pace University to NYU. No one is going to stop you from doing so. I am in a similar situation. I am going to attend my state flagship in the fall (not my top choice) and I’ll apply for transfer to NYU as well. You should retake your ACT. 23 is very low for NYU. NYU’s average ACT is a 29/30.

I’m not sure if financial aid is an issue, but if you require any form of financial aid then I wouldn’t recommend expending the energy on an NYU application. If you have a low EFC then, considering how generous Pace is typically with financial aid, in a cost v worth scenario you’ll probably be better at Pace.

Go to the college websites, all the current information is there.

If you do well at Pace, you should be able to transfer. Many years ago, I had the same idea, but at the end, I choose to finish it in 3 years. My degree at Pace did not stop me to get a job at Hewlett-Packard.
