transferring from regular college to music school..

I’m currently in SUNY Stony Brook, but I want to transfer to a music school…

I always loved playing music, and I came to SUNYSB due to my parents, but I’m having a confrontation finally

My first freshman semester grade was B,B,A,C, and an Incomplete(same as F or W I guess).

I want to apply for New School of jazz and comtemporary arts.

would my one F matter really?

An Incomplete generally gives you until a later date to complete the work in the course. It is not an F, unless you fail to satisfactorily complete the work in time. A W is non-punitive - it’s the grade you’d get if you had an emergency and couldn’t complete the course.

The instructor wouldn’t have awarded the Incomplete unless it was possible for you to satisfactorily complete the work. You should do everything in your power to do so.
