Transferring from UC San Diego to Cal Poly Pomona

Hi, I’m planning to transfer from UC San Diego to Cal Poly Pomona as an undergrad student. I have a straight on 2.0 GPA at UC San Diego (but at community college I have A and B grades, but the UC system don’t count them to the GPA calculation). Do you think I have any chances of getting into Cal Poly Pomona?? If not, what should I do? And would Cal Poly Pomona also count my A and B grades from community college along with my GPA at UC San Diego???

Do you live near Pomona? I think the Cal State system gives priority to students who live in the surrounding area.

why you transfering? UC San Diego is way better than Cal Poly

i think maybe he/she is transferring cause UCSD might be too hard (2.0 gpa listed above) and it probably has a much livelier social life.

dont do that…dont degrade yourself to calpoly…work harder and get help

With your GPA I would stay at SD. Graduating from Cal Poly with a low GPA will make jobs much tougher to get.
