transferring from UCSD to UCB and other top engg. schools

<p>Hello all,
i got an admit in UCSD for fall 2007 in Phd.I dont have MS degree yet.
I am really not too sure right now if PhD is meant for me.
From what I have heard UCSD does not let off students w.o PhD.they do not give MS degree for students who have been admitted for PhD.
is that true?
if so, then can I apply for transfer to other top engineering schools like UCB,UW or Stanford?</p>

<p>I’m not 100% on UCSD, but I know a lot of programs out there only hand out PhDs. I don’t know about transferring to another school. This isn’t undergraduate anymore. You chose to be with a specific faculty and program. I assume they are paying you to get your PhD. You can’t just get up and change it…</p>
