Transferring from UK to US

After I graduated high school in 2022 I was accepted into a US college and went there for a year, after that I decided to move to the UK and start my degree from scratch, I am now starting my second year.

I’ve decided I’d like to graduate from the US rather than the UK, so I would be transferring back to my freshman year college.

Does anyone know how hard it is to transfer UK credits to the US? Or if there is any equivalency? I’d have a year in the US and two in the UK by the time I plan to transfer.

All you can do is talk with the transfer staff at the US college, some even run virtual transfer admissions sessions. Some schools will calculate/estimate transfer credits before acceptance, some won’t. Many schools require the last two years be completed on their campus, so regardless how many credits they accept, you very well could have two more years of college.

Every school is different, even if you apply to the same one you attended.

Transfer entrance requirements are different than for freshman admission.

Make sure that you can afford the school.
