<p>Hey, I’m a computer science major attending UO for freshman year. I’m a California resident and I would really like to transfer back to my home state because paying UO out-of-state is too expensive for me! I have a 3.4 gpa, with mostly As in all my computer science and math courses (calculus, discrete math 1-3, computer science 1-2) and a mixture of Bs and As in my other courses (psychology, environmental studies, archaeology, writing). I had a 3.1 gpa in high school and got a 2050 on the SAT. I would really like to go to a UC, but I’m worried I won’t get into any with my 3.4. What do you think of my chances at a UC? What other schools should I be looking at? Are there a few shoo-ins/relatively safe options I should apply to as a contingency plan? Thanks!</p>
<p>All you can do is apply. At least you’re a California resident and qualify for in-state tuition.</p>
