I will be a first year student going into Washington and Jefferson. I plan to further my education and want to transfer to a better school. I may not be the Harvard material, but I want to know what makes you an Ivy League material. Would studying abroad for a month in Japan set you apart? I don’t know what I should do besides the good grades! Also, how many credits should I have minimally to transfer?
Thanks!!

No, those may certainly help but it would not make or break your application, as you said.

I think your high school grades would be very important, as well. The colleges also want to see your high school grades.
