Transferring into an engineering major?

<p>How difficult is it to transfer from something like the Math/Econ major into electrical engineering or some other type of engineering (except for bioengineering and any other impacted engineering majors)?</p>

<p>And is it true that if you apply for an impacted major like bioengineering, and don’t get in, they will accept you into your alternate major choice (assuming you are good enough for the alternate major, of course)?</p>
