i’ve attended cornell (ny) and a community college in texas.

at cornell i was in the labor relations school but was about 20 credits away from finishing my degree.

i’m not sure if cornell is best for me right now but i would like to pursue studies at a different college.

if i ever decide to go back to cornell and finish my labor relations degree i feel that ECON major would fit in nicely with that. (2 degrees?).

Whats the exact question here? lol

When transferring from another college into a different major, if you don’t check with advisers here and make sure things transfer well, you may not be granted a change in majors, and you could be stuck in something similar to labor relations.

Yeah, I can’t see a real question either…Most likely TAMU will not accept any junior or senior level courses. Even though you needed only 20 at Cornell, you may very well have like 45 total transferable hours at Tamu. If you left Cornell with even descent marks you can get into the Liberal arts college along with Econ, but just by the name Labor Relations sounds a lot more like Human Resource Development here.

oh. assuming they let me transfer what is the maximum credits i can get?

i think the residency requirement at TAMU is 36 credit hours?

There are no max credits. I transferred 70, I think. There’s just the 36 hour requirement and 24 must be 300 and 400 level courses in your major. I was originally going to transfer into Econ, as well, here is the degree requirements. [Texas A&M University - Department of Economics - Business Economics Certificate](http://econweb.tamu.edu/undergraduate/econ-certificate.htm), just scroll down to plan of study and see what you have taken or would still lack.

My bad, that was the Business Econ plan, here is the BS, [Texas A&M University - Department of Economics - Undergraduate B.S. Degree](http://econweb.tamu.edu/undergraduate/bs-degree.htm)…
