Transferring into SEEK

It’s been sooooo long since I’ve been on here. Wow…

Anyway! This question is for my older sister. She’s been going to Queensborough Community College for over a year now and she’s doing horribly. She has a learning disability, but, on top of that, she just doesn’t work hard in school at all. She just got her grades back for the fall semester-- D-, F, R (Repeat) and she got a Pass for a Pass/Fail course. The three semesters in total makes her gpa a 1.4

My mom is at her wit’s end and is just about to give up on her. I suggested that maybe my sister should transfer to my school, Brooklyn College, and go into the SEEK program.

Is it possible my sister can transfer to a four-year college with her bad grades in order to join a program for people who need extra help like she does??

Anyone?

You can’t. Your sisters grades are way to low and you can transfer to SEEK unless you were in a SEEK/EOP program in a pervious school which a community college doesn’t.

Sorry to say but you’re sister maybe screwed.

  1. Unless your sister is in college discover at QCC, she will not be able to transfer to a SEEK/EOP/HEOP program.
  2. Having a 1.4 gpa is most likely going to place her on academic probation limiting her chances of applying anywhere. 3.Her best bet into transferring to a 4 year school is to either complete the associates at Queensborough or accumulate a minimum of 24 credits with a 3.0 minimum gpa
