Transferring junior year

I am currently a freshman at UNCC and I am completely unhappy with my experience here. I recently switched from comp sci to bio and a premed track the middle of this semester so I will be starting my new major this summer. I was wondering what complications I might face with transferring schools as a junior since I intend on applying right after junior year. I really do want to enjoy the second half of my undergrad atleast.

I plan on transferring either to nc state or unc. I havent fully made a decision on that yet

Some schools will not give committee letters to student who have no completed X number of credits at the school. Applying from a school that offers a committee letter without a committee letter will red flag your application.

Also adcomms will wonder why all your LORs are from some school other than the one you’re currently attending. It could flag your application. (Adcomms may not bother to read your app closely enough to see you’re a late transfer.)

Lastly, you cannot assume that all your undergrad credits will transfer to your new school in good order. Transferring may set back your date of anticipated graduation.

Actually I have made sure all my classes will transfer and I am all good there. I am staying within the UNC school systems so I am okay there but the rest of those reasons sound horrible… ill have to look into that
