I am a student at top US university applying for a stipend from my university. Suppose that I recieve an acceptance descision from another university, probably Ivy League in June, while my old school does not resume until late September. Can I keep the summer stipend and not be sued by my old university after I transfer?
I’m sure you won’t be “sued” but most likely it will be revoked and if you spent it or something you will have to pay it back or there will be consequences.
Also, why not worry once you get the acceptance letter? Haha I mean the transfer rates of ivy’s are all <10% so worry once you hear the happy news!
But unless they happily give it to you, don’t take the summer stipend.
But my school is on the quarter system, so I will withdraw by late September and tell no one that I already spent it all by August, when I start at an Ivy.
What is the purpose of the stipend? What strings does your university attach to it? You need to ask them, not us.
Bro you’re ditching what sounds like UChicago and stealing their cash?
just don’t spend the stipend if you think you will transfer. if you end up not getting in, you still have the money. If you do get in, then you will likely have to pay the summer stipend back.
