Hey everyone!

I’m a Saudi student currently majoring in Political Science with specialized Honours in International Relations at York University, Toronto. My current GPA is 3.4-ish (my grades this semester were B,B+,B+,A,A).

My TOEFL is 620, and my ACT’s are 28-29 with 11 in writing.
I’m also an international student studying in Canada. My GPA in highschool was 3.3 unweighted but I took almost honour courses and I obtained a ‘bilingual’ IB diploma (slight difference than the regular one).

I did volunteer job in Spanish Tutoring throughout my senior year, and also building houses for Habitat for Humanities in Hungary for a week.

Moreover, I was a member of the Spanish club and an officer of the Russian club in highschool.

My extracurricular activities mostly entailed snowboarding, but there were others two such as biking or helping in the library.

I worked at a firm for an entire summer as a secretary assistant with no salary to obtain a work experience, so to speak.

My forte is language - I speak 5 languages, and am taking 2 languages at this university. I initially taught myself Spanish before I moved to my school in Switzerland. I had a A+ through Spanish 3 and IB/AP Spanish, and I got a 7/7 on my IB Spanish exam, coupled with an award in that course. I also speak Arabic as my mothertongue, along with English, French (since it was the spoken language in the Swiss region I lived in) and Russian, which I can only substantiate with a letter of permission from my uni to enroll in a 4th year Russian course.

Right now, I’m studying German and Modern Greek at my university, and in both courses I have A’s. In fact, both classes’ averages are C, so I could say I’m doing fairly well.

I am a member of the MUN, Middle Eastern Students Association and the Association of Classical Studies Students at my university.

And finally, all my professors, per our past conversations, hold a positive opinion of me, and they are all willing to write me a letter of recommendation.

Taking all of the above into account, what are my chances at getting to GWU as a transfer student (I’m hoping to enrol in Elliott School of International Affairs)?

Thanks everyone!
