Hi. I would like to know how hard it is to transfer to penn economics from cmu economics. Btw, im not trying to transfer to wharton just CAS economics.

what are your stats, reasons for transferring, race/ethnicity, etc?

I have a friend who went to CMU and was doing a dual program (Tepper and English). He had a 3.75 at CMU and 1420 SAT score. He applied as a transfer to Penn, Columbia, and Northwestern (Medill). He got denied at Penn, wlisted at Columbia, and in at Northwestern. He currently attends Northwestern

well, the thing is i havent started yet at cmu but upenn was my first choice and i was denied. and i also got placed in a real ****ty dorm at cmu.

CMU social scene sucks but my high school, the legendary Pittsburgh Central Catholic, plays a lot of its home football games there. Dan Marino is one of our alums. No wonder we always contend for the AAAA WPIAL Championship.

first, see how you like it at cmu. you haven’t even started yet and you’re already thinking about transferring? -____-

anyway, like columbiahopeful said, you never know with transfer admissions. you’re going to need a STRONG reason for transferring into penn for economics and why cmu isn’t a right fit for you. but how would you know that when you haven’t even been there yet… haha…
