I am currently a freshman at Manhattan College in the Bronx, from upstate New York. I am switching majors from finance to computer science, and want to be apart of a more reputable program, so I would like to transfer to U Michigan. I should finish the year with a 3.6 GPA with classes mostly 153-210 range, and only one 101 which was comp. sci. I have a 20 hour a week work study and practice with the division one swim team. My SAT was an 1890, and I took 8 APs in high school with a 3.39 unwieghted GPA. I was a member of a couple clubs in highschool, including 3 varsity sports, and as a captain of the swim team. I know Michigan is a long shot but im looking for some advice on transferring (which is easier, spring or fall, etc.) and possibly suggestions if Michigan is too unrealistic. Thank You.
I think there’s some rumor that it’s easier to transfer for spring semester than fall or winter. I have no idea whether that’s true or not.
