Transferring to UC Berkeley!

Hey guys,

I’m an international student looking forward to apply as a transfer student to UC Berkeley. I am studying in Europe, and here the Bachelor’s program lasts just 3 years, and not 4 as in the US. My intention is to apply after my second year. However, I don’t know how many credit units will be transferred. I have two hypotheses:
1.- Since I have completed 2/3 of the Bachelor’s program, that means that 80 (which is 2/3 of 120 units) credit units will be transferred to UC Berkeley.
2.- I have just completed 2 academic years abroad, and that’s the equivalent of 60 credit units in UC Berkeley.
So my question is, how many credit units could transfer to UC Berkeley if I transfer after my 2nd year from a 3-year institution? Has somebody had experience with this?

Thanks in advance.

Hey,

My dad tried to do this a while ago, (long time ago… 20+ years prob), and they were not willing to recognize his college credits. I’d just contact Berkeley and see what they say. Also, the country you are studying in may make a difference.

Thanks for your response!

The country I am studying in is Germany, and the university is the University of Munich. I don’t know if it helps. Any other opinions?
