Transferring to UC

I am an undergraduate first semester student wanting to transfer to a UC.

With my AP credits and my credits I will receive after I finish my current first semester at my current college, I will already have the 60units needed to transfer to a UC.

I am then thinking of taking a gap semester for this spring semester, applying to the UCs, and then starting next fall.

Is this allowed?

I don’t see why you couldn’t take a semester off if you have all your pre requisites completed. If you don’t, then just stay for the spring to try and finish up as many pre requisites as possible for your major.
