I currently go to University of Nebraska Lincoln. It is not a bad school, but everyone that graduates gets stuck in Nebraska and I need to get the heck out of here.

I lived in Chicago for a month last summer and hung out with some friends at University of Chicago and Northwestern.
I fell in love with Northwestern and the culture and energy it had. I would also love to go to Chicago.

I was sort of a slacker my whole life, but I was above average intelligence (I’m Asian ^.^)
I was also recently diagnosed with ADHD, which explains so much, but I am doing things to control it and it has helped me been able to get straight A’s in college this past semester.

This is my third year in college, but due to me slacking so hard, I am technically a Sophomore. I have a 2.77 GPA, but with the classes I’m retaking and the A’s I will get in my other classes this semester, I should have a 3.0+ at the end of this semester.

I am willing to do anything to get into one of these 2 schools. I feel hungry for opportunities because I’ve been wasting them all my life.

My idea is to transfer to a middle tier college (better than UNL, but under Chicago or NW), and get really stellar grades there (just to make sure, my GPA does get reset after I transfer to a new school right?) And after one year (or 1 semester if I could) I would transfer to one of the 2 schools that I really want to get into.

I was a music major but am switching to business management.
I want to maybe start my own business in the future or create something on my own.

Is this possible/a good idea?
Thank you for your help.
