Hello,

I am currently a bilogy major enrolled at Forida University Honors College. I recently transferd to FIU from a Community College. Due to personal reasons i was not able to transfer to the schools i really wanted to transfer to. I was just wondering if anyone can tell me what my chances are if i would chose to transfer to either Cornell, JHU, and Yale.

In high school i was somehow active.Iwas a member of the National Honors Society for 3 years, math club, and a member of the varsity baseball team. I had a 3.999 gpa during high school while taking several magnet classes.I attended a health magnet school in connecticut and after my junior year i relocated to Miami, Fl. I graduated with honors and my weighted gpa ended up being a 3.7 while taking afull load of honors classes. As for my SAT, i did really bad, but iknow that either cornell or JHU requires you to submit the SAT scores.

After high school, i attended a community college in which i was really involved. I was the SGA Secretary for 2 years, a member of Phi Theta Kappa, a member of Psi Beta, relay for life, worst to First(Worst 2 First is an organization that promotes a awareness to improve the ducation in the state of Florida). I was also a supported of the Dream Act, which if passed would allow students from any background to receive anequal opportunity education. I receive the Presidential Award from President Obama as a result of my completion of more than 250 hours of community hours while attending college. I also paricipated in several leadership workshops. As a result of my involvement with SGA, i was chosen to attend a lunch with the first Lady Michelle Obama(great experience). While attending school and managing several clubs, i also worked part-time as a student assistant at the admissions office for two years. At the end of the two years, I received an Associates in Arts in Biology with a 3.72 gpa(Honors graduate).

Currently at FIU Honors College, i just finished my first semester; i only have about 70 credits completed I maintain a 4.0 gpa while taking several chemistry and physics classes and being active in several honors college activity. I also work as a student assistant doing reseach at the schools college of medicine lab. Aside from school, i have volunteer at a local schildrens hospital for about 4 months. I am also a member of several medical organization.

Anyways, I wouldreally appreciate any insight you have! Thanks, and have a good day.
