Hi,

I will most likely be attending University of California – Riverside in the Fall of 2012. I am a Computer Science major and have been admitted to the Bourns College of Engineering. I understand the importance of keeping my mind open to the school I will be attending and making the most of it. I will definately try to do my best to do that. It does seem crazy to talk about transferring before even attending but my main concern is being prepared. If I want to transfer to a school like USC, NYU, or Univ. of Michigan, what must I do? I understand it’s EXTREMELY hard and the chances are very low. Besides completing “30 units” and getting a 3.9-4.0 GPA, how do I select my courses? Am I supposed to do only GE’s? at UCR they allow you to skip GEs as an engineering ungrad in order to get a jump start for your major so i’m wondering if that would screw me over? Also would I be transferring to the other school’s engineering school or not, because if it IS the engineering school of the other university i’m transferring to, i think it would hurt my chances.
