Transferring

I did not apply to Columbia University, mostly because it wasn’t my number one choice and I thought my chances of getting in were slim to none.

I have the options of going to either Ohio University, Ohio State University and Syracuse University.

I’m assuming Syracuse is my best bet to go there with intentions of transferring to Columbia, but I know it mostly is dependent upon performance and even high school credentials.

Knowing this, what would be the best route to take? With great grades at Syracuse, is a transfer to Columbia, NYU, Brown, USC or UCLA feasible?

I ask because my brothers are relocating from my small hometown in Ohio to a big city (they haven’t decided yet; one is going to be a teacher, the other searching for a job in business) and I’d like to go to school in the same city and live with them. I’d also love to be able to go to one of the elite colleges I mentioned.

If it’s not to be until at least graduate school, I’m okay with that.

Just do well in your classes and continue to work hard and I think you should be OK.

Eh? Too funny.
