Transfers

Are there lower percentages of acceptance for transfer student at most colleges? Like for instance if I was denied at UPenn then reapplied as a x-fer my sophomore year in my flagship college, would my chance be lesser than It was when I originally applied?

Look at the Common Data Set for the School. Here is UPenn’s http://www.upenn.edu/ir/Common%20Data%20Set/UPenn%20Common%20Data%20Set%202011-12.pdf</a> Section C1 shows 12.4% of applicants were admitted as freshmen. Section D2 shows 9.7% of transfer applicants were admitted. I believe the same case (lower %age for transfers) holds true for most schools.
