Transitioning between what the university can offer me and what I can offer it. Help with words. URG

transitioning between the two,
in the first para i told what can the uni offer me,

so now in the second I have to tell what I can offer it.
What should be the word to transition.
should it be “Morever” or what?

the first sentence of the paragraph is

“Transition Word”, my rich volunteering experience would prove to be useful…

fill the transition word.

A transition sentence? something along the lines of “I feel I could harness these myriad opportunities in many ways as illustrated by some of my present and recent-past activities. Since xxxx I have been volun…”

It can be hard to pull it out of you and on to paper- I feel for you. All I can say is Better you than me! Good luck with the struggle! And I like “URG”! Maybe you can use it in your essay somewhere? :)

If you want just one word, how about Lewis Carroll’s “Contrariwise”? You are shifting gears, not “Moreovering” into greater depth.

Or how about: “So that’s how you guys rock! I rock in many ways, too! Let me share a few with you. Ready? I have volun…”

As a student at “Name of College”, my rich volunteering experience would prove to be useful…

@ItsJustSchool another thing.

a better substitute for the phrase.
‘abundant power shortages.’

specially for abundant

frequent and unpredictable power outages. Inconsistent availability of power.

I need to stop. Go into your English teacher and see if s/he will give it a read! Or contact a senior from last year who is now in college.

@ItsJustSchool thanks a lot man!

Tragedy is that my english teacher didn’t get time to proofread my essay for me and now I am trying to do it all by myself, at the last moment. Yeah, Applying EA.
:open_mouth:

thanks though!

An application essay is more conversational. You don’t necessarily need a transition word. Make the transition in the same way you would shift to a new subject if you were speaking to a friend or a teacher.

@DreamSchlDropout‌ - very sage advice.
