Does anyone have info on transportation from Cornell College to Chicago? I’m thinking of Thanksgiving week/weekend. Anyone know about the MegaBus from Iowa City to Chicago??

MegaBus is certainly cheap, and I haven’t heard many complaints about it (I volunteer with a tourist organization in Chicago). It drops you just south of Union Station but passengers are not allowed to congregate in the station since MegaBus pays no rental fee to the facility. If she is transferring to the airport, the subway lines to both Midway and O’Hare are an easy walk.

I would imagine that Thanksgiving weekend would be very busy. Watch the MegaBus website carefully and buy tickets as soon as they are available. There are also plenty of Chicago kids at Cornell College and University of Iowa, and the chance of a ride to Illinois is a good one. Check both schools for a ride board.

Check with the school to see if there is a parent sponsored bus to Chicago for holiday weekends.
