I have a family wedding next weekend in St. Augustine. I am flying into Jacksonville and need transportation to my hotel. Super Shuttle is $160 round trip, and Uber looks to be slightly cheaper at $140 RT. Does anybody know of anything more economical? It almost makes me laugh that ground transportation is almost as expensive as my flight from Boston. I am not wanting to rent a car.
We were there last year…and we rented a car.
Any chance someone else attending the wedding is arriving/departing about when you are?? Maybe see if you can hitch a ride with them.
The Jax airport is on the northwest side of town and St. Augustine is 15 miles or so to the south. Jacksonville is the largest city, by area, in the US so you are traveling a long way, I’d guess about 50 miles. Long way.
Jax is NOT a city of public transportation.
@thumper1, I asked my brother last night to put out feelers for a ride share. @twoinanddone, I have been to Jacksonville before but I didn’t realize the distance to St. Augustine. Guess I should have researched ground transportation earlier instead of waiting till 5 days prior to departure.
