Does anyone know of a shuttle or anything that goes from UMD to Towson? I looked online and saw that it takes almost 3 hours using the Metro 
The metro doesn’t connect College Park with Towson. I’m sure there are shuttle services that could help depending on the reason for the trip.
As Jack said, the DC Metro does not connect CP and Towson. I live in Towson and our daughter goes to Maryland. Without traffic, the drive takes about an hour. You may be interested in this story announcing expanded MARC service between CP and Baltimore:
