I’ve tried searching for old threads on this, but cannot find anything recent.

Since DS will be in Bay Area (Mountain View) for a year, he thinks having his car would be helpful. Has anyone used a transport company they would recommend?

I have used DAS (Dependable Auto Shipper) twice and have been satisfied. You can read reviews on more recommended auto transport companies in movingscam.com.

bookworm…
When we sent Goskid’s car back east, I got some info/knowledge from one of these posts. BTW…S did do the cross country trip twice…had a great time the first time, not so much the second, since he and a friend did it in two days. Must have been a Great Party that they raced back for

Thanks for the laugh! He’s a little overwhelmed, trying to find an apartment with roommates, get work done before the move. Plus, it will probably snow on his way out. He seems to be a magnet for snowstorms whenever he travels.

It is frustrating; the company we’ve used 2x is quoting us $225 more than others, even though I sent them scans of prior moves. Well, this too shall pass.

my former office manager’s s/o left the big company, started his own. He is 2nd highest bid, but we decided to go with him. If anything goes wrong, I know where he lives!!

After applying to 25+ apartments with roomies, the worm fnally got confirmation. Not one of my favs, but will do.

By Feb. 7, he will be settled across country. Then, the process will begin again.

And no one questions why I turn to ginvodka/wine.
