Does anyone have insight on trap shooting (skeet and sporting clays too) athletic recruits? My daughter has placed 1st and 2nd place in our state for the past several years and is a junior. Many of the schools she is interested in have clubs, with no scholarship availability. She is also going into engineering,which eliminates many liberal arts colleges.

I believe it would have to be a school-sponsored varsity sport for schools to recruit for it and/or have potential scholarship money. I haven’t heard of schools with varsity trap shooting but haven’t really looked into it.
Club teams are usually student run organizations that recruit from students who have already been admitted without involvement of the athletic department.
