Trash the (wedding) dress

You’re not the only bride we’re speaking of. I’ve seen a shoot where a bride was wearing her Vera Wang and had some street performers in New Orleans go at her with some housepaint.

It’s one thing to get a really interesting underwater picture in a relatively clean lake or ocean so that it can be cleaned and reused… I can see the art in that. It’s another thing entirely to take your dress to the local carnival and sashay around in a pig sty, or to trash it with paint.

Good for you, donating your dress so someone else can use it. There are a lot of good causes out there who put those dresses to extremely good use.

The photos of the Undine brides are artistic, but they creep me out…

Although one dress from the Disney Bridal collection sound pretty appropriate for such underwater shots:

[Kirstie Kelly for Disney Fairy Tale Weddings - Ariel](http://www.disneybridal.com/collection/ariel_landing.html)

(Keeping fingers crossed that my yD who at some point wanted to be a Little Mermaid will not get any wild ideas :D)

Seems pretty tacky to me - to take pictures of yourself deliberately destroying something. If you’re not going to keep it as a keepsake / heirloom, why not just donate or sell it?

Now I want to go to a breast cancer charity wedding gown sale…
