<p>Its been a long time since I’ve come to CC for advice, but I know I can always find answers here. So thanks in advance for your advice. </p>
<p>One of my girls will be graduating from Alabama State University in May. (She’s not my DD but I’ve always considered her and her sister the daughters of my heart). She just sent me an invitation to her graduation and included a note that said “this moment is as much yours as it mine for taking the time to give me hope.” </p>
<p>I’m in the midst of trying to figure out if I can make it to the graduation. I really can’t afford it, but I so want to go. & I’m trying to figure out the least expensive way to travel. I’m in northern California now and could fly out of Sacramento, Oakland or SFO. </p>
<p>Is it reasonable to consider flying into Atlanta and driving to Montgomery? I know airfares are going up - how soon should I make a reservation?</p>
<p>Any suggestions on where to stay? </p>
<p>What kind of weather should I expect? </p>
<p>I imagine if I do make the trip, I’ll have some free time in Montgomery - What should I see an do while I’m there? I’ve never been to the South.<br>
