Traveling to and From College. D.C to Miami

Recently i have been accepted into University of Miami as a transfer student from a local community college here in the washington d.c metropolitan area.

Unfortunately one of my parents are in jail, and the other has a below poverty income.

I current reside with a family member.

The problem i have ran into is i’m not sure how i will get their school since it is pretty far away.

I am aware that i may be ale to fly etc, but just wanted to get any other recommendations possible.

Flying is easiest. Southwest allows 2 bags plus your carry ons. Ship the rest UPS. There are many stores at the Dadeland Mall down the road to get things you need. maybe link up with your roommate to get there. By the way, congrats on UM. My son is a recent grad and it is a wonderful place to be!

You might look into Amtrak down the east coast–will take awhile, but it’s a possibility from Union Station
