travelling from houston to college station and back

i was wondering how transportation is like at college station. for my NSC, is it possible to catch some sort of bus to take me back to houston? will i also be able to do this during the school year?

Your not the only one.. Im getting braces and im going to have to travel back and forth about once a month to houston to get them tightened. I heard transportation is college station is hard with out a car. My parents are moving out of the state.. and I dnt have my license yet 0.o... but i will be taking the Greyhound back n forth when I have too or hopefully ill end up making some good friends who wont mind helping me out every now in then. not sure what NSC is.. but if its a one day thing just make sure you get a written excuse.. and get all your work in early if necessary to professors and get any test out the way.

My boyfriend, also had to travel back in forth from Dallas to Waco for braces during the school year and thats all he did.

groundshuttle.com |

There is ground shuttle between CS and Houston Airports. Cost $26 OW. In CS, you can pay $5 extra from door to doors when requesting shuttle service. CS-Easterwood airport is less 10 min from campus, however, it cost about $10-12 taxi OW. As of today, I have not been able to find any transportation between Austin and Dallas except flying. Did not check into Greyhound further as it takes too long and too inconvenient.
Please note: make reservation Online and early during the rush "begin and end" of semester.

thank you both

also...

nice name ucla, lol

and nbeezy, i'm also getting braces. i thought you might like to know that, lol

Awesome! we'll both have million dollar smiles come graduation :)

lol, yeah we will

Have you considered using an orthodontist in Bryan/CS? Sometimes little issues come up that aren't in sync with your regular appointment. That is what I would do if my college kids needed braces. Just my $0.02 : )

It is an excellent suggestion to use local service. My S2 1st summer had his wisdow tooth out and it did not heal in time to put the filling / crown around the same area. We contacted the local dentist and the insurance was no problem since he is OOS. Also, the service is cheaper vs CA. The care provided by the CS dentist work was fine and no problem so far. Soon, being away from home, students will need to utilize health care, optical, dental closer to campus. Talk to your parents and work thing out with the insurance, most of the time is OK. I have done that for both my sons in 2 different Universities.
