I have wanted a treadmill at home for a long time and am thinking this looks like a reasonable one. $999 with delivery and assembly included. Anyone have one, or one like it?? Or know anything about buying a treadmill?

It doesn’t appear to be too highly rated by the guys at [Treadmill - Elliptical Reviews, Service, & Parts : Treadmill Doctor](http://www.treadmilldoctor.com) :

Spend some time on this site, it is the best treadmill site on the interwebs. I used it extensively when I bought my treadmill a few years ago.

I’m “old-school” when it comes to exercise equipment:

[Amazon.com: Schwinn Airdyne Upright Exercise Bike: Sports & Outdoors](http://www.amazon.com/Schwinn-Airdyne-Upright-Exercise-Bike/dp/B000E158CK)

This thing will kick you like a rented mule. It’s on the sidelines of every NFL practice and game and the industry standard for interval training. Nothing to break. Doesn’t even plug into the wall.

Here’s what Mike Boyle, noted Boston fitness trainer and owner of the two Mike Boyle Strength and Conditioning facilities in Boston has to say:

Sooo noisy though.

I could never get used to the moving handlebars either. But yeah, a cool machine.

Pushing and pulling with the arms at the same time as pedalling is why the thing sucks all the oxygen out of your lungs about 10 seconds into a high speed interval. Working a lot of big muscles all at the same time.

notrichenough, the site you linked to is sponsored by something called Yowza Fitness which - surprize!- sells their own brand of treadmills. I would be skeptical about “professional” reviews coming from that site, but I would pay attention to what Costco buyers have to say, because they are a picky bunch and would not hesitate to return something they do not like. Unfortunately, the treadmill OP mentioned has only 2 relatively recent reviews on Costco dot com - I’d look for something with more than 10 reviews for statistical reasons.

That site has been around for many years. When I used it to research the treadmill I bought, they had no ads from other companies at all.

If you look at their reviews of Yowza treadmills, they are not exactly glowing, so it doesn’t seem to me like the ads are influencing their editorial content, but that is just my opinion. I have no connection to the site other than I used it for research and have emailed back and forth a few times with the owners.

Like everything on the internet, it is smart to look at it with a skeptical eye, but I think they are legit.
