Next year(senior year in high school) I was planning on taking Trig and college algebra together, but If trigonometry isn’t really useful when it comes to Computer Sciences I’d definitely rather take AP Literature, as it interests me more. I talked to my friend who is currently majoring in CS and he didn’t take trig and is doing fine.

WHOA!..slow down there.

You will need Trigonometry because:

1) You will use Trigonometry in Calculus I and Calculus II which are BOTH required for ANY decent computer science degree program.

2) You will use Trigonometry in Physics, which is usually the “science requirement” for most decent computer science programs.

If you don’t take Trig in high-school, your college (if you plan to major in Computer Science) will make you take Trig AND you will take at least 5 years in college to complete a CS degree.
